'Amigo' (Edward Bruce Williamson, R. 1933) TB. Midseason bloom. Color Class -B9D. Light blue standards, velvety purple falls. The yardstick by which neglectas were measured for many years. Magniferin, a fluorescent orange pigment when observed on the chromatogram under ultraviolet rays, was detected in tests (Wynne 1966) in 'Amigo' and others. Small blooms on thin stalks. Honorable Mention AIS 1936; Award of Merit AIS 1938; Slight fragrance.
